A classic British farce at its best – good, old-fashioned, fun
entertainment. The story revolves around David and Jane Kenway, who have a very happy marriage and live in a flat in Wavertree Mansions
with their five year old son Billy and their stack of unpaid bills – until their world is turned upside down!
In true farce style, the family’s idyll of peace and harmony is interrupted by the most unusual elements – the appearance
of a mouse, an incompetent electrician and an Italian director who doesn’t speak English. And let’s not forget the walk-in cupboard.
The play revolves around the young couple’s frantic efforts to keep their marriage a secret so that Jane can take a
much-needed job. This leads to mistaken identities, cover-ups and other hilarious consequences.
